Own Up

June 21st, 2010
“This whole oil spill mess just sort of highlights the fact that Obama has no idea what a president is supposed to do. He’s been constantly vowing to take swift action but doesn’t seem to have a clue what that action should be. … So people look at Obama and how he doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing with the oil spill, is flailing around trying to stimulate the economy, and is forcing a poorly thought out and unread health care bill on America and say he’s doing a bad job as president. But as I said, we’re being unfair to him. What was Obama before all this? He was a community organizer — pretty much a made up job with unknown responsibilities, as far as I can tell. I doubt Obama even knew what he was supposed to do in that job. And after community organizer, he was a legislator who voted yes, no, and present on things — a pretty simple job at which he reportedly was average. So what in his resume gives anyone the idea he would know how to do anything about a huge environmental disaster? What in his previous experience gives us any inkling he knows the first thing about economics? Why are we angry at him for not knowing things there was no reason to ever think he would know? … It’s like we took a fry cook from McDonald’s and decided to make him a neurosurgeon because he looked good in a surgical mask and then got mad at him when he killed his first patient. Who is really to blame here?” –humor columnist Frank J. Fleming

Quote of the Week

June 18th, 2010

“The big oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is bad enough in itself. But politics can make anything worse. Let’s stop and think. Either the government knows how to stop the oil spill or they don’t. If they know how to stop it, then why have they let thousands of barrels of oil per day keep gushing out, for weeks on end? All they have to do is tell BP to step aside, while the government comes in to do it right. If they don’t know, then what is all this political grandstanding about keeping their boot on the neck of BP, the Attorney General of the United States going down to the Gulf to threaten lawsuits — on what charges was unspecified — and President Obama showing up in his shirt sleeves? Just what is Obama going to do in his shirt sleeves, except impress the gullible? He might as well have shown up in a tuxedo with white tie, for all the difference it makes. This government is not about governing. It is about creating an impression. That worked on the campaign trail in 2008, but it is a disaster in the White House, where rhetoric is no substitute for reality. … This is not about oil. This is about snake oil.” –economist Thomas Sowell

You expect regular columnists to be stupid.  They make their living writing rubbish that some other fool wants to hear.  As proof, I offer the comments on blogs and in letters to the editors.   However, the comments are sometimes pro and con as well.  Some might accuse the columnists themselves of trolling.  Stupidity is always painful, but not always to the deserving party.
I feel a pain in the brain (what little I have left) just writing about it.  There are two main kinds of fool in the area we might call politics.   Just where politics has any business in some of these matters remains to be seen. There is the one who  follows a strictly right or left bent.  The worse is the one leans one way or the other but takes the worst of the opposite side and embraces it.  If you're thinking about some guy who is right most of the time, he is not a fool or else you are.  I don't know a lot of exceptions.  While attacking our foes at all times is appropiate,  being a fool only breaches our own defences.

Be Counted

May 10th, 2010
This is infringement of the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights. First the 2nd amendment, then the first . Then the supremes gave a home to a private party who left town after destroying a life and costing the state, nation, and city untold dollars. The first thing the federal gov’t did was to disregard the Constitution in the first place. That’s why we have a Bill of Rights. It means just exactly what it says. That is why it was drafted. It says so in the preamble. The founding fathers said so separately. There’s not much time left to get it back. When America is gone there is no one who will come to the rescue. See “Infringement“. America will not be there to come to rescue us like we did Austria.
The federal gov’t has become the dictator that the Constitution specifically prohibited. Freedom is just our generation away from extinction, and when it’s gone it’s gone. If you let it slip away, your great, great grandchildren will never see it.
Do you think the Democrats or Republicans will help you? They have both had control and neither party has improved the lot of the common worker. They rule for themselves and the chosen few. If you let them insert their candidates, it will be same ol’, same ol’. There are other choices. Those of you who know Peg Luksik or Bill Russell in Pa., or like candidates in other states, (Col West comes to mind though he’s probably a GOP pick as well) get out the vote for them. If you do nothing, nothing will get done. Or at least what is done will be done to you.

                        Good, Bad, and Evil

April 11th, 2010

The problem is not the bad guys in office, it’s the bad voters who will not vote for good guys.
The “vote ‘em all out” sentiment never ceases to amaze me. Why would you want to send the message that doing the right thing would be punished? And the party favorites are left in anyway. In Pennsylvania that’s what happened. The Republican bosses got the people to screw themselves by retaining a crooked judge and senator during Pa. Clean Sweep. Where I live, the people got up in arms over two commissioners. The two bad guys quit and the voters threw out the guy who voted for them. Go figure. Hey, if you want to do the right thing or lie, cheat, and steal the voters make no distinction. And you wonder why nobody in gov’t is honest? If you don’t care, they sure won’t. Elections are coming up where you can make a difference. If everyone would vote American instead of for the lesser of two evils, the pols would get the message and good guys would run. Send whichever message you want. You’ll get the gov’t you deserve, but I deserve better.

Subject: FBI raid.

I have spent a couple hours researching all I could find about the raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.  Not one account mentioned the actual confiscation of explosives.  The stacking of charges, despite the lack of explosives, is reminiscent of the western Pennsylvania raids. Show Boating.  One thing is clear about all this is the timing.  It comes on the heels  of the bullshit report (read:fund raiser) of the Southern Poverty Law Center on hate groups.  The FBI and SPLC are "butt buddies".  Even the pervert bull dyke Janet  Napolitano, practically quoted them word for word in her Homie report.  Then suddenly, a raid.  Pathetic bullshit.   Grandstanding has always been the major focus of the FBI. Grab a headline, then have their drama queens commit perjury for convictions .   These Hutaree are guilty of nothing but being stupid.  Really stupid!   Making arrests at a funeral was such a classy act.  Only the lowest syphilitic chancres in society could have thought that one up.  But they wanted to send a message: we're filth, but we're ARMED FILTH.  They suceeded.

Invaders

March 4th, 2010

To our dear British cousins who seem fit to call Americans fat and stupid, it appears to me that it is your ignorance or lack of historical memory that drives your opinions. The memory of the Act of Proscription, enacted on November 1, 1747, in order to subdue the highlands of Scotland is writ large in the American psyche. We Americans remember, we remember that a disarmed people is a conquered people. We put our memory down in writing, so we will always remember. We wrote it down, in every State constitution and in the Federal Constitution, the very simple principle that all free men have the God given right to bear arms. And yes, we Americans cling to God and our guns – though I, for one, am not bitter.

I have read that our Republic was brewed in Scotland, bottled in Ireland and victoriously uncorked in America. The Scottish Enlightenment is the root of all of our political forms. If you ever bothered to read the writings of Francis Hutcheson or George Buchannon then it would be ever apparent that America is the fruit of their philosophy which is firmly rooted in the foundation of the Christ. We are the heirs of the United Irishmen. We Americans did away with the Established Religion and the Test Act, that oppressed both Catholics and the members of the Kirk alike, think of Emmett, Wolfe Tone and Roddy McCorley. When our own Revolution seemed lost, stalemate in the North and utter defeat in the South, from the backwoods we Americans gathered. With our own firearms, we met the King’s best at Cowpens, at Kings Mountain, at Guilford and finally at Yorktown. We remember the words of those who would enslave us, those who called us “rednecks”, “crackers” and “wild Irish” that needed to be cleared from the land. We remember your ways and your words. By the possession of firearms we exercise our God given right to defend our liberty, our lives and our property. You would be wise to remember our ways and our words – “No Surrender” and “No King but Christ”.

Let's get real. If you're right or left don't read this. Where I live used to be a glacier. It melted before Col. Drake was even a gleam. You can prove anything if you accept statistics as proof. I can prove that the woman standing on the street corner accosting strange men to ask them if they knew statistics proved this or that was a prostitute. But let's look at the facts. A gazillion people breathing puts out a lot of heat. But the bison aren't breathing any more. Still, we're putting out more heat. Reasonably we can assume that all the cities along the coasts have a role in climate change. Skyscrapers and mountains of heated air take the place of natural mountains which are responsible for, or were formerly for, the climate on either side.

                                               NO HE CAN'T

Fellow Americans,

Please know: I am black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul’s name as my choice for president. Most importantly, I am not race conscious. I do not require a black president to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not require a black president to love the ideal of America.

I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping with joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival – all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician. I would have to deny the nature of the "change" that Obama asserts has come to America. Most importantly, I would have to abnegate my certain understanding that you have chosen to sprint down the road to serfdom that we have been on for over a century. I would have to pretend that individual liberty has no value for the success of a human life. I would have to evade your rejection of the slender reed of capitalism on which your success and mine depend. I would have to think it somehow rational that 94 percent of the 12 million blacks in this country voted for a man because he looks like them (that blacks are permitted to play the race card), and that they were joined by self-declared "progressive" whites who voted for him because he doesn’t look like them. I would have to be wipe my mind clean of all that I know about the kind of people who have advised and taught Barack Obama and will fill posts in his administration – political intellectuals like my former colleagues at the Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

I would have to believe that "fairness" is equivalent of justice. I would have to believe that man who asks me to "go forward in a new spirit of service, in a new service of sacrifice" is speaking in my interest. I would have to accept the premise of a man that economic prosperity comes from the "bottom up," and who arrogantly believes that he can will it into existence by the use of government force. I would have to admire a man who thinks the standard of living of the masses can be improved by destroying the most productive and the generators of wealth.

Finally, Americans, I would have to erase from my consciousness the scene of 125,000 screaming, crying, cheering people in Grant Park, Chicago irrationally chanting "Yes We Can!" Finally, I would have to wipe all memory of all the times I have heard politicians, pundits, journalists, editorialists, bloggers and intellectuals declare that capitalism is dead – and no one, including especially Alan Greenspan, objected to their assumption that the particular version of the anti-capitalistic mentality that they want to replace with their own version of anti-capitalism is anything remotely equivalent to capitalism.

So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have elected a black man to the office of the president of the United States, the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and Jane Fonda is over – and that Fonda won. Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like. The self-righteous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction for having elected a black person. So, toast yourselves: 60s countercultural radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, Black America. Shout your glee Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a black man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to – Do Something! You now have someone who has picked up the baton of Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. But you have also foolishly traded your freedom and mine – what little there is left – for the chance to feel good. There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness.

from kansas1 re: abdulmutallab & the no fly list

There are many aspects of the "official" story that stink. The guy is flying from Yemen. Yet, he has a "handler" in Amsterdam, who assists him in getting a boarding pass.  80 grams of PETN will not bring down a an airliner. While it is a high explosive, 80 grams in not enough, even if you climbed out the door, crawled along the wing, and threw it into the air intake of the jet engine,  the plane would stay aloft on the remaining three engines.  So, if  an agency were planning a red flag attack on an American carrier, they'd give the dupe enough explosive to cause an incident, but not enough to cause a crash. It is very telling that, even before an emergency is decalred, the FBI is already at the Detroit airport, waiting for what?????  Their man, of course!  I believe this staged incident is more than an attempt to give the Obama administration a black eye. I see it as a sure fired way to enhance the Patriot Act, and increase the national jitters for support.  The resulting loss of rights, will be seen as a small price to pay for "security".  A thinking person would say, hey, the same people supposedly providing security, screwed up AGAIN!   I say, lets keep our rights and expose these traitors who engage in false flag ops.
One other stinker about the official story is, the passenger (the lawyer) is an eye witness to a second arrest in Detroit, but the Detroit  office of the FBI denies a second arrest.  Given the FBI's institutional penchant for lying, they expose themselves every time. How fucking dumb can you be?  Plenty I hope,, as it helps expose these traitors.

Many of you remember this case, in which the Supremes ok'd stealing from the poor to give to the rich.  In this case, Pfizer pharaceutical wanted to expand it's plant in New London, Connecticut and got the town council to agree to use emminent domain against a neighborhood, to be bought, torn down,  for the expansion. A Ms. Kelo fought the seizure on constitutional grounds, all the way to the Supreme Court, only to lose, by one of the most unjust rulings in history.  It gutted the Fifth Amendment's protections against "takings of private property".   Well, for years I wondered about, as Paul  Harvey use to say, "the rest of the story", because the mainstream media seems to have lost interest.  I finally found out what happened. Pfizer of course won the legal fight, torn down the neighborhood for expansion, then closed the New London plant and moved away. 1,400 jobs in New London were lost!  Is your blood boiling yet? It should, because the legacy of Kelo vs New London continues to this day.  Government at any level, can steal from the poor, to benefit the rich, or themselves. A very draconian piece of legislation empowering the EPA to steal all waters, wet lands, ponds, streams, you name it, is in the House.  It is no stretch for the EPA, if passed, to demand access across your land, to the water.  I know the Congress is out of touch with public, but after the next elections, we may be heard if we get rid of EVERY incumbent.  Every swine who ever fed at the public trough must go!

I don't endorse Col. West's opinion on Israel.
The state was founded by Roosevelt and Stalin for
other purposes than that for which Col. West
supports it.  It got the Jews out of their way and
made them look like heros instead of the vicious
butchers they were.
Roosevelt was determined that the US was going to
get in the war and promote communism.  Hence Pearl
Harbor.  I hope you aren't that stupid Col. that
you don't think the godless commies didn't kill as
many Jews themselves. Give me a break.  Also, they
probably knew the trouble they were causing with
the Arabs would not benefit Christians and the
free world.
The Jews asked for it. 99.97% did nothing but say
"whatever, don't bother me", but that's why all the
people in this country got O'Obama.  "People get
the gov't they deserve."
Roosevelt and Stalin knew they could control the
moslems by brute force.  That's all they understand.
That's what their "religion" is about. Hitler,
Stalin, Mohammed, what's his face Smith or Jones
who started the mormons etc. all had the same idea
about getting others to follow them.  Not how good
we are as individuals, but how we can screw
everybody else.
I have lots more to say about these gods who took
over after creation, but I'll stick to the point.
In conclusion, the Jewish state is a farce because
most Jews couldn't fit in it.  Most wouldn't anyway.
You're all going to have to move out of your state
to start a new homeland for them.  You won't get
mad will you?

"WE NOTICED"

President Obama:

Today I read of your administrations' plan to  re-define September 11 as a National Service Day. Sir, it's time we had a talk.........

During your campaign, Americans watched as you  made mockery of our tradition of standing and crossing your  heart when the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. You, out of four people on the stage, were the only one  not honoring our tradition.

YES, "We noticed."

During one of your many speeches, Americans heard you say that  you intended to visit all 57 states.
We all know that Islam, not America has 57  states.

YES, "We noticed."

When President Bush leaned over at Ground Zero and gently  placed a flower on the memorial, while you nonchalantly  tossed your flower onto the pile without leaning  over.

YES, "We noticed."

Every time you apologized to other countries for America  's position on an issue we have wondered why you don't share our  pride in this great country. When you have heard foreign leaders  berate our country and our beliefs, you have not defended us. In  fact, you insulted the British Crown beyond belief.

YES, "We noticed."

When your pastor of 20 years, "G-damned America " and said  that 9/11 was " America 's chickens coming home to roost"  and you denied having heard recriminations of that nature, we  wondered how that could be. You later disassociated yourself  from that church and Pastor Wright because it was politically  expedient to do so.

YES, "We noticed."!
When you announced that you would transform America ,  we wondered why. With all her faults, America is the  greatest country on earth. Sir, KEEP THIS IN MIND, "if not for   America and the people who built her, you wouldn't be sitting in  the White House now." Prior to your election to the highest  office in this Country, you were a senator from Illinois and  from what we can glean from the records available, not a very  remarkable one.
YES, "We noticed."
All through your campaign and even now, you have surrounded  yourself with individuals who are basically unqualified for  the positions for which you appointed them. Worse than that, the  majority of them are people who, like you, bear no special allegiance, respect, or affection for this country and her  traditions.
YES, "We noticed."
You are 9 months into your term and every morning millions  of Americans wake up to a new horror heaped on us by you. You seek  to saddle working Americans with a health care/insurance  reform package that, along with cap and trade, will bankrupt  this nation.
YES, "We noticed."
We seek, by protesting,  to let our representatives know that we are not in favor of  these crippling expenditures and we are  labeled "un-American","racist", "mob". We wonder how we are supposed  to let you know how frustrated we are. You have attempted to  make our protests seem isolated and insignificant. Until  your appointment, Americans had the right to speak  out.
YES, "We noticed."
On September 11, 2001 there were no Republicans  or Democrats, only Americans. And we all grieved together and  helped each other in whatever way we could. The attack on 9/11  was carried out because we are Americans.
 And YES, "We noticed."
There were many of us who prayed that as a black president you could help unite this nation. In six months you have done  more to destroy this nation than the attack on 9/11. You have  failed us.
YES, "We noticed."
September 11 is a day of remembrance for all  Americans. You propose to make 9/11 a "National Service Day".  While we know that you don't share our reverence for 9/11, we  pray that history will report your proposal as what it is...a  disgrace.
YES, "We noticed."
You have made a mockery of  our Constitution and the office that you hold. You have  embarrassed and slighted us in foreign visits  and policy.

YES, "We noticed.."
We have noticed all these things. We will deal with you. When Americans come together again, it will be to remove  you from office.
Take notice.

Beyond Disrespect

By Peg Luksik

We display yellow ribbons to support our military men and women. We pray for them, privately and publicly. We write letters and send supplies. In every segment of our society, Americans are telling the members of our Armed Forces that we appreciate their sacrifice and value their service.

With one exception;

The administration is planning to bring the terrorists who attacked America on 9/11 onto American soil and into American civilian courts for trial. The message is that those who took American lives and destroyed American property cannot get a fair shake if they are tried at Guantanamo in the Courts of Military Justice.

Those courts are unfamiliar to most of us, so on the surface, it sounds like the Washington establishment is simply trying to ensure that justice is done.

That is a false perception.

The Courts of Military Justice are the forums in which every member of Americas Armed Forces is tried when he is accused of a crime. They include lawyers and procedures that are designed to ensure that the rights of the accused are protected. They are designed to ensure that the security of America is protected as well.

It is beyond disrespectful for Washington to say that the legal system that is good enough for every person who is defending America is somehow not good enough for the people who are attacking America.

Bringing these people onto American soil is compounding the problem. The base at Guantanamo is isolated for a reason. The isolation keeps it from being a target.

The terrorists being brought to trial have openly boasted about their success in murdering Americans and publicly stated that dying a martyr’s death is a goal for them, as long as they kill Americans in the process. When we transfer their trials to areas that are filled with Americans, we are painting a huge target on the back of every citizen who lives within those areas.

Americas military, both those on active duty today, and those veterans who have completed their service, works to keep America safe from attack. They serve so their families and their neighbors will not be on the front lines of a battlefield.

For this administration to decide unilaterally to bring that front line to New York, or southwestern Pennsylvania, or any other part of this nation, is a direct slap in the face of every man and woman who has given blood to protect Americans. Trying to justify such a reckless and perilous action defies imagination.

The administration has attempted to counter the outrage by saying that they will set aside $73 million to help with security. That does not begin to cover the additional costs to the local governments. So not only is Washington proposing to put American lives and property at risk unnecessarily, they are planning to make the American taxpayer pay for it.

This is madness. A secure location and an appropriate system for ensuring that justice is served already exist in Guantanamo. We should use them.
